Live Poker Tables and Types

On the main gaming floor at 777 Frikkie Meyer Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark, we operate six live poker tables. If you stop by on any given day, you’ll usually find four No Limit Hold’em tables, one progressive poker table, and one River Poker table. Depending on how busy it gets, the mix might change a little, especially as evening crowds build or fade.

All our poker tables sit among Roulette and Blackjack, with the full floor reported at 22 gaming tables. We’ve separated smoking and non-smoking sections, so pick what you like. Mondays to Thursdays, gaming runs from 10:00 right through to 04:00. On Fridays and Saturdays it is open 24 hours, and on Sundays it closes at 4 a.m.

Ultimate Texas Hold’em Progressive

If you’re after jackpots, our Ultimate Texas Hold’em Progressive table runs with a growing prize pool reaching up to one million rand. To be in with a shot, place the optional side bet before play starts-without it, jackpots don’t trigger on your hand.

Screens above the table show the current progressive jackpot, visible from wherever you sit. We follow the standard rules where players go against the dealer, using the usual shared cards. Money from the side bets feeds the jackpot pot, fully in line with South African gaming regulations. Always worth checking with the dealer for the most recent jackpot total.

This progressive feature spices things up but keeps the rankings and core gameplay the same as regular Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

No Limit Hold’em Cash Action

We keep four tables open for No Limit Hold’em cash games as part of the total live poker table count. Stakes vary, and our limit structure is among the highest you’ll find in South Africa. Tables are dealt manually with shoes-some players say it gives more rhythm. Nine-handed standard. House rules on string bets and spoken actions always enforced by our dealers.

Games stay live as long as the minimum amount of players keeps up. If several games are running, you can switch tables by speaking with the staff on the floor. At peak hours, we add waiting lists and players already registered get first priority.

River Poker Option

Our River Poker mixes up the pacing compared to standard Hold’em. The hand ranks stay familiar, but the way rounds play out and cards are revealed adds another layer. Dealers are happy to walk you through differences before sitting down.

Minimums and maximums are posted at the table and may adjust slightly, depending on how a session is running.

Prive Lounge for Club Card Members

Recognition for loyalty. Gold and Diamond members in our Tsogo Rewards program get access to the Prive Lounge. Events, closed-session games, cocktail evenings-there’s more privacy than the main floor, and sometimes you’ll see higher betting ceilings here too. The lounge regularly hosts cocktail events and promotions for qualifying members.

How to qualify? It’s about points earned through play. Special poker events sometimes happen just for members, and Diamond tier holders get a seat first during busy sessions, with the added benefit of support from the lounge’s dedicated floor team.

Betting Limits and Buy-In Ranges

We keep betting limits among the highest allowed in South Africa. The minimum and maximum vary by the specific table or format you choose. Standard No Limit Hold’em buy-ins usually run from 20 to 100 big blinds, but check signage or ask the dealer for current rules.

If you want to play the progressive jackpot, there’s a fixed side bet needed-check the amounts before you sit so you know what you’re in for. Dealer or floor staff will update you on limits, as sometimes changes are required by regulation or operational flow.

Looking for even higher stakes? Advanced arrangements with floor staff can reserve private tables for cash sessions as long as entry amounts are met during quieter times.

Chip Buy-In and Cashout

You can purchase chips at the tables from our dealers or at the casino main cage. If your buy-in busts local legal thresholds, please show your ID-this is standard across all big amounts. Your chips are valid on all game tables across our floor. For quick assistance or information about games, guests can speak directly with floor staff or dealers.

To cash out, visit the casino main cage. Dealers can’t process withdrawals at the table. For higher payout amounts, it’s wise to notify us first in case we need to arrange the correct denominations. Changing foreign currency is possible directly at the cage, based on the daily posted exchange rate. If you need to switch currencies, sort it at the cage before bringing chips to the table-makes everything move smoother.

Tournaments and Event Poker

Back in 2010, we hosted a World Series of Poker Africa event, and since then, poker tournaments never left. There are freezeouts, rebuys, bounties-special events and series happen year-round with announcements made at our poker desk and through our platforms.

Buy-in amounts, guaranteed pools, and payout structures are always posted ahead of time. We open registration weeks in advance for headline events, offering both online and in-person sign-up. You’ll also see satellite events for players hoping to qualify on a lower buy-in.
